Designing Product Packaging & Developing a Visual Identity for Nusmyle Toothpaste
This is a concept project I completed for a potential job interview a while back.
The brief was to create a new brand of toothpaste and a new leading product, that stands out in the market.
When naming the brand I had done quite a bit of research and thinking before finally settling on the name NUSMYLE. The brands ethos is to leave a smile through every part of the process of delivering their toothpaste. This means using eco-frindly materials, replanting forests, working with small local businesses and more. With this in mind, I made sure to use only eco-friendly materials to make the product.
I created the brand logo suite and then used 3d software to design and create the product images.
Here are the results.
It was crucial to consider the materials used for packaging to align with Nusmyles' ethos of being eco-friendly.The full dispenser design is made from Organic Hemp Plastics, which are fully recyclable and eco-friendly. The metallic elements are also crafted from Organic Hemp Plastics, covered with a biodegradable metallic-look film. This ensures that even the decorative aspects of the packaging remain sustainable.
Additionally, the clear film covering the product and containing the barcode is made from eco-friendly and recyclable materials. This holistic approach to using sustainable materials not only supports environmental conservation but also enhances the brand's commitment to eco-friendly practices.
